They are also called cup wheel, single edge wheel and double edges wheel, and are mainly designed for glass straight line & edge grinding machine and double ends squaring machine. They are classified into metal bonded wheels and resin bonded wheels. The metal bonded grinding wheels are used to coarse grind and fine grind the glass; while the resin bonded abrasion wheels are used to fine grind and accurate grind of the glass. For the different conditions of splinter removing and cooling during grinding, different teeth types such as continuous type, through teeth type, semi-teeth type, are designed to ensure the sharpness of the grinding wheel and the low toughness of the grinded edge.
