Refractories for Ceramics and Electrical Porcelain Industries
Friend of High-Temperature Industry, Pioneer of Energy-Saving & Cost-Reducing Sinosteel Luoyany Institute of refractories Research Co., Ltd. (LIRR) is a science and technology enterprise affiliated to Sinosteel Corporation. LIRR was established in 1963 as the only large integrated research institute for refractories, and the center of technology, science, information and services in China’s refractories industry. LIRR was reformed into a company-system enterprise (wholly state-owned) in 2008 and is one of the most powerful enterprises in China.
LIRR has built a production base with “Nation Engineering Research Center for refractories” and “National Hi-Tech Industrialization Special refractories Model Project” as entities. There are 18 production lines with 10 categories of products including composite refractories, high purity oxide refractories, monolithic refractories, medium and high temperature ceramic kiln furniture, metallurgical functional refractories ceramic fiber, etc. The annual capacity of high and medium grade refractories is over 80,000 tons. The products are widely used in industries such as metallurgy, nonferrous metal, petrochemical, ceramic, building materials, electric power, environment protection, machinery, medical treatment, etc, and have been exported to over 80 countries and regions such as America, Europe, Russia, Southeast Asia, etc.
The industry scale, technology, equipments, quality and the market share of LIRR’s 30,000 tons composite material production line rank first in the world. It is the world’s largest production and research base of nitride bonded refractories. The silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide high temperature kiln furniture is widely used in the industries of ceramics, electric porcelain, grinding medium and grinding tools etc.
The production line of kiln furniture in LIRR with advanced equipment such as vacuum extruder, temperature-constant and humidity-constant drying shed, auto hydraulic presser, shuttle kiln, etc. has the annual capacity of 1,200 tons. Over ten kinds of materials such as mullite-cordierite, mullite, corundum-mullite, etc. are widely used in the industries of building materials, sanitary ceramics, domestic ceramics, special ceramics, glass ceramics, etc.
