Shroud, monolithic stopper and SEN for Billet and Slab (Thin slab) Continuous casting
Thin slab continuous casting is a near-net-shape effective continuous casting new technology, which is an important field of continuous casting. LIRR has developed and designed submerged nozzle for paniculate thin slab continuous casting with self-dominated intellectual property right. The structure of the nozzle can guarantee the flow field of the molten steel stable inside the nozzle and avoid the phenomenon of slag entrapping. The technical data of the nozzle achieve the same level of the overseas similar product, and it has been successfully used in CSP of Zhujiang Steel, CSP in Maanshan Steel, FISC in Tangshan Steel, etc. it was assessed as National New Products in 2002, and was listed as National High-Tech Special Refractories Industrialization Demonstration Project. So far, the annual output of functional refractories of LIRR is about 1,000 tons. LIRR’s patent products (AI2O3-C shroud, submerged nozzle and monolithic stopper) are characterized with high strength, high corrosion resistance and thermal shock resistance, long service life, etc. The shroud has high thermal shock resistance, which can be used without prebaking; submerged nozzle has high corrosion resistance which can prevent AI2O3 from clogging; the monolithic stopper is very popular for its high strength and high corrosion & erosion resistance.
Zirconia metering nozzles for Billet continous casting
The zirconia metering nozzles produced by LIRR include: enchased metering nozzle, quick-changing metering nozzle, nozzle cores, nozzle sleeve and well block. The annual capacity of the zirconia metering nozzles is 300,000 pieces.
